Oil prices are trickling down

World oil prices seem to have been taking a down ward turn lately. At one point I can remember it hitting the $147 mark that was really pocket threatening. Thankfully things seem to be gradually receding. How often though is it that we see it go down and then shoot up back because of increasing speculation and such alike. For those you who do have a optimistic mindset keep it because we are going to need it.

You know I must say I am pleased at the way people have taken this gas situation however. Most have managed to put in the necessary measures to keep themselves out of the fury. One of the many measures people are taking is riding instead of driving. Reports have suggested that there was an increase in the number of sales on two wheel vehicles (bicycles, scooters and motorbikes). People are using them to beat traffic and save gas at the same time.

It is all great to see people actively involved in trying to make things better. In the end I think we will all benefit because it is never easy to spend so much for something that is most essential. Hopefully we manage to improve our ability to use renewable energy in homes, that wold really give us a boost and reduce our oil dependence. So in closing have a good day, oil prices are going down, we expect to see the prices at the pump go down as well until then see you.

How the water fuel cell really works

First I will quickly say what the water fuel cell does. The water fuel kit is a device that when placed in your car allows you to run your car with water and gas.

Here is a general idea of how it works.

The water cell is set up in a small flask. In the flask water is mixed with a metal hydride to speed up the reaction. An electric current is then passed through the fuel cell which causes water molecules to split into hydrogen and oxygen. It is from this that the cell is able to produce energy to help power your car. In the end you save money and you protect the environment because the only by product of the reaction is pure H2O aka Water. Don’t get this wrong energy is not just created spontaneously without some input. The downside to this is in the production of the metal hydrides because they do not occur naturally.

You can get the instructions on how to set up the system here. Click here

One reason gas prices are so high.

I got this startling news from a friend check it out and see how you can help.

Please Help Fight America’s Oil Crisis…

Hi Friend,

The oil price bubble is unfairly taxing American families and restricting our nation’s economic potential. I sent a message to Congress asking them to adopt common-sense solutions, and I urge you to take a moment to send a message, too. Congress can dramatically reduce the price of oil and gas, providing immediate relief for businesses and hard working Americans, and your letter will help make our elected officials be more aware how high energy prices are hurting hard working Americans.

————————-

Dear James Wright,

An Open letter to All Airline Customers:

Our country is facing a possible sharp economic downturn because of skyrocketing oil and fuel prices, but by pulling together, we can all do something to help now.

If you are in a hurry and don’t have time to read this report please visit www.StopOilSpeculationNow.com.

For airlines, ultra-expensive fuel means thousands of lost jobs (including mine…I’m being furloughed [layed off] on the 14th of July) and severe reductions in air service to both large and small communities. To the broader economy, oil prices mean slower activity and widespread economic pain.

This pain can be alleviated, and that is why we are taking the extraordinary step of writing this joint letter to our customers.

Since high oil prices are partly a response to normal market forces, our nation needs to focus on increased energy supplies and conservation.

However, there is another side to this story because normal market forces are being dangerously amplified by poorly regulated market speculation…(George Bush and Dick Cheney are involved).

Twenty years ago, 21 percent of oil contracts were purchased by speculators who trade oil on paper with no intention of ever taking delivery. Today, oil speculators purchase 66 percent of all oil futures contracts, and that reflects just the transactions that are known.

Speculators buy up large amounts of oil and then sell it to each other again and again. A barrel of oil may trade 20-plus times before it is delivered and used; the price goes up with each trade and consumers pick up the final tab. Some market experts estimate that current prices reflect as much as $30 to $60 per barrel in unnecessary speculative costs.

Over seventy years ago, Congress established regulations to control excessive, largely unchecked market speculation and manipulation. However, over the past two decades, these regulatory limits have been weakened or removed.

We believe that restoring and enforcing these limits, along with several other modest measures, will provide more disclosure, transparency and sound market oversight. Together, these reforms will help cool the over-heated oil market and permit the economy to prosper.

The nation needs to pull together to reform the oil markets and solve this growing problem.

We need your help. Get more information and contact congress by visiting

  • Some people are so desperate they see life as being hopeless.
  • Some people have decided to use the train.
  • Others are taking buses.
  • There are those who have canceled their long anticipated beach trip for a location that is less entertaining but cheaper to reach.
  • Some are determined not to let the prices impact too heavily on their lives.
  • People are doing more walking.
  • There are those who choose to stay at home instead of going out as they normally do.
  • Some have found ways to conserve energy around the home.
  • Others are driving their car on water. Click Here!
  • Some are driving non at all.
  • What are you doing?

Foot for gas

Many people are parking their cars and turning to the pedals of bicycles and other such machines for traveling. It was about time I would say. There is no exercise in driving to work, standing up in an elevator or sitting down at a desk all day. Have a little fun and ride a bike.

Riding a bicycle to work is nothing strange or odd. Bicycles are one of the main means of transport in Japan and China. Conditions are not much different in the western world. They are also a popular occurrence in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Besides being fun bicycles are a great way for exercise and are good for running short errands. Due to the cost of gas, many liberties that people used to have are being taken away. They have to survive and they are adapting. If you do not know how to ride a bicycle. Here is a little advice before you bruise a knee or elbow. Silly Gas Wars And High Gas Price

Doesn’t it startle you how people in the oil selling countries are constantly fighting for turf? The fighting for oil has helped to shoot the gas prices even higher over the past couple of years. People have set oil wells on fire and done so many things to sabotage oil production. Why can’t they just come to a simple agreement so that everyone can sit back, drink some cool water and be happy. I think it is silly.

You know what is the funny thing about this situation. Lets say they fight and eventually someone wins and take over. Yeah? Ten, Fifteen years from now what do you see? You know what I see? I see an increase in the use of alternative sources of energy and there will be less dependence on gas. The oil prices will go down. Then what next, oil will not be so hot and I guess then, they will look back and laugh. They still have to live.

Sure gas is not the only product that comes from oil. There are many other uses for oil such as the manufacturing of oil based products, so they will not be left hungry. The reason they are fighting now is because oil is in high demand and there are quick profits to be made.

But come on they can do better. I would not want to see that bloody end and I think you will agree. Breathe people, breathe!

Why were fuel efficiency ideas rejected?

It is not really clear to me why most fuel efficiency ideas were rejected in the past. It does not make sense. Surely there were no high gas prices five to ten years ago. I think at that time we could really afford to buy gas without suffering much. But there were a few hints and issues that could have told the auto companies that “hey we should probably increase the efficiency of our products”.

First there was smog. Smog is causing an increase in the number of respiratory illnesses around the major cities. People were being diagnosed every day. There were even those who died from the severity of damage to there lungs. That should have been reason enough. But if that was not enough there was also the issue of acid rain.

Acid rain is formed when the gas emissions containing sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and other emission products combine with rain water to form acids. The acid rain causes the deterioration of metals and other materials in building and such alike. It also threatens food supply in that it was armful to both fish, plants and other animals.

There was also the mention of an increase in global warming which has the effects of causing more hurricanes/typhoons, tornadoes, drought, flooding, melting of the polar ice caps and the complete destruction or wipe out of small islands.

Scientist also told of the possibility of oil shortages in the future because the amount of oil in wells had already passed the peak. They said danger was ahead and the best thing was to change out the fuel systems before it was too late and start using the alternatives.

Was that not reason enough for these companies to changes their ways and advance their systems to be more efficient and probably turn to the many suggested alternatives? Thankfully our independent scientist had not been deterred by disappointment. Most of them kept on researching even though their ideas were rejected. That is why in the near future they can probably do as Thomas Edison and so many other scientists did by selling their inventions on their own directly to the consumers. And let sleeping dogs lie.

High gas prices good or bad?

I wonder. Is the wave of high gas prices good or bad? Many people have been complaining so much about it. It is really digging into there savings and causing havoc with even food supply. I have seen where people are getting frustrated some are calling on the government and other relevant authorities for help.

There has been an increase in the number of searches on the internet and other sources for the best ways to conserve energy while not taking too much from personal comfort. Activities like carpooling, taking the public transit, you name it, have become popular for all trying to stretch their dollar as much as possible. It seems the general population has come to accept that they are having a problem and something must be done. In short people are really frustrated.

However in the world of science people are celebrating. Why? Humans like to be under pressure. Some feel they work better under these conditions. For them this could never be a more opportune time. Scientists and other creative individuals all around the world are beginning to push their genius over the edge. Everywhere money is being pumped into research, everyone trying to find the next profitable source of fuel. After all it is better to be late than never.

Some methods might seem absurd like using animal manure, rocks and even algae, all to produce renewable fuel. ugh!. There are the other processes of using ethanol made from corn, sunflower, sugarcane, marijuana and the list goes on. I might have to get into the lab pretty soon too. It is very good to see the creative people who have helped to mold this God given earth with there talents and creativity putting on their gear and answering their true calling. Hopefully leading us out of our peril. Prayers can never be too much.

Nurturing The Green Gardens That Feed Us

From the beginning of creation as far back as we read, in history books such as the bible. Farming has always been one of the main sources of getting the foods we want to eat. Surely plants grow wildly but if life must be sustained in an enjoyable manner it is always better if the foods of choice are cultivated.

Farming over the centuries have been done on different scales. This means different farms cater for different groups of consumers, it was also done based on the availability of land. On the one hand large scale farms grow crops like rice, corn, wheat and other essential staples. While on smaller farms and backyard farms you found that people tend to plant more vegetables which are relatively easy to grow. Some of this produce is sold at the market and some used for at home purposes.

Farming is a great way to build family unity in that every one has a chance to get involved. This is so especially on the more traditional farms which involved the rearing of livestock such as chicken, goats and cows. However even with small home gardens the whole family can get involved, even the little children. Besides a little dirt on the palms everyone should be able to have fun. The earth is beautiful we eat from it so it really would not hurt to help to nurture it.

Global warming and food shortages have prompted the appeal for more people to get involved in farming. Farmers and farming though are often times looked down on and I find that to be very startling. Without them there would be no human life because they provide the raw materials for our bodies to produce energy and function effectively.

Be a saviour in your own right, go out and get some seeds. Help save our environment. Plants effectively increase our oxygen supply and not to mention the amount you save by not having to go to the shop to pick up your greens. Your car would be lighter on those weekend grocery trips, effectively saving gas (another environment protection point scored). Besides it will be fun, do not leave out the little ones give them a chance to explore. Don’t forget to share your produce with a neighbour or a friend. Tell about your new garden and show them how to get involved.
